ABOUT US
Our Lab focuses on studying the mechanisms and treatment methods related to brain disorders.
Our research involves preclinical studies using animal models for prominent brain conditions
such as Alzheimer’s disease, brain tumors (in small and medium-sized animals), and traumatic brain injury.
We employ various techniques, including Focused Ultrasound (FUS) and Photodynamic Therapy (PDT),
to advance research in brain disorder treatments.
Of particular interest, we directly regulate the Blood-Brain Barrier (BBB)
—a crucial structure maintaining homeostasis within the brain and central nervous system—
using focused ultrasound.
This modulation enhances drug permeability across the BBB and allows us
to explore neurogenesis in response to microenvironmental changes within the brain.
Our research aims to uncover novel therapeutic strategies
and contribute to the understanding and management of brain diseases
